Hinds County Sheriff’s Office thanks Pinelake Church, retired MHP colonel for camp support

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that it extends its deepest appreciation to MHP Col. Chris Gillard (Ret.) and Pinelake Church for their support of the agency and the Youth Warriors Summer Camp. The post said the group’s generosity included a luncheon at Char and gift cards provided to every deputy and staffer who assisted.

The sheriff’s office is the primary law enforcement agency for Hinds County, Mississippi, responsible for patrol, investigations and community programs in the county. The agency frequently partners with local organizations on youth outreach and public safety initiatives.

Pinelake Church is a multi-site congregation based in Mississippi that has been involved in community and outreach activities. MHP Col. Chris Gillard (Ret.) is identified by the sheriff’s office by his retired title; the post credited him and the church with steady support and partnership with the agency.

The sheriff’s office said the donations reflect a commitment to service, partnership and investment in deputies and local youth. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
