Highway 6 near Chucky Mullins shut for medical emergency

Highway 6 near Chucky Mullins is shut down at this time because of a medical emergency, a Facebook post warned. Motorists are asked to avoid the area while emergency responders work on the scene.

The post did not specify the nature of the medical emergency or when the roadway would reopen. Officials did not provide additional details in the post.

Road closures for medical emergencies are intended to protect both patients and responders and to allow emergency vehicles unobstructed access. Drivers encountering the shutdown should expect delays, follow directions from on-scene personnel and law enforcement, and use alternate routes when possible.

This closure may affect local traffic patterns and scheduled travel along Highway 6. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
