The Gulfport Police Department said in a Facebook post that Deputy Commander Shaun Sebring and Deputy Commander Michael Hauler were sworn into new leadership positions “yesterday.”
The department said the promotions reflect years of hard work, dedication and a steadfast commitment to serving the Gulfport community.
Deputy commander is a senior supervisory role within a police department. Officials said individuals in such roles typically oversee day-to-day operations, manage units and support the chief in directing departmental strategy and personnel.
The department invited the public to join in congratulating Deputy Commander Sebring and Deputy Commander Hauler and included the hashtags #GulfportProud, #Lead, #Inspire and #Motivate in its post.
