Gulfport captain graduates 155th Southern Police Institute

Gulfport Police Department said on its Facebook page that Captain Andy Taylor graduated from the 155th Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville.

The department posted, “Congratulations to Captain Andy Taylor for graduating the 155th Southern Police Institute (SPI) at the University of Louisville! We’re so proud of you. Way to go!” The post included hashtags celebrating the achievement, including #GulfportProud, #Educate, #Motivate, #Inspire and #GoCards.

The Southern Police Institute is a program at the University of Louisville that offers advanced professional and leadership training for law enforcement officers. Completion of SPI programs is commonly viewed within policing circles as part of executive and supervisory development, intended to strengthen management skills and decision-making.
