DSA center moves to Hollandale library for two days
The Disaster Survivor Assistance center serving Washington County is relocating to Torrey Wood Memorial Library, 300 East Ave. N., Hollandale, Mississippi, for Friday and Saturday, May 22 and May 23, 2026, a Facebook post said.
Operating hours will remain the same: Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the post said.
Disaster Survivor Assistance teams, often deployed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help survivors apply for federal aid and connect with local resources, provide in-person support after disasters. Temporary location changes can affect how quickly residents access services, making public notice important for those seeking assistance.
The Facebook post did not provide additional details about the reason for the move. Residents with questions should consult official Washington County channels for updates. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
