Disaster Service Centers in Franklin, Lawrence and Lincoln counties will close Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at 6 p.m., according to a Facebook post. The post said the center in Wilkinson County will remain open.
The post listed hours for open centers as Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.; centers are closed Sunday. It said residents do not have to visit a center to apply for assistance and can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, through the FEMA app or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
Disaster Service Centers provide in-person support for people seeking federal disaster assistance, including help with applications and information about available programs. Such centers are commonly staffed by federal, state and local officials who work together to guide residents through recovery resources after declared disasters.
