Corinth police urge safety for Fourth of July weekend

The Corinth Police Department is urging residents to prioritize safety as the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaches, reminding the community to celebrate responsibly, the department said.

In a notice posted online, the department encouraged people to plan ahead if they will be traveling, attending cookouts or using fireworks. It advised anyone who will consume alcohol to designate a sober driver or arrange for a safe ride home and to obey traffic laws and local ordinances, the department said.

Independence Day often brings increased travel, gatherings and the use of fireworks, which can raise the risk of accidents and injuries. The department urged residents to be considerate of neighbors and to make choices that help keep the community safe for everyone.

This guidance is part of routine public-safety reminders issued by local law enforcement ahead of major holidays. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
