Rankin County sheriff’s offices close July 3 for July Fourth observance
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department said on Facebook that its administrative offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of the July Fourth holiday and will reopen Monday, July 6, 2026, at 8 a.m.
The department said the Patrol Division will continue to operate as scheduled throughout the holiday weekend, and emergency response services will remain available. Residents are advised to use emergency channels as needed; the department reiterated that routine administrative services will be unavailable during the closure.
The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, which provides law enforcement and public safety services across Rankin County, Mississippi, typically staffs patrol and investigative units year-round while administrative offices handle records, permits and other nonemergency matters. Temporary closures of administrative offices are common on federal and national holidays.
