Authorities seize suspected marijuana, vapes in Picayune search

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department said deputies executed a narcotics search warrant April 29 at a home on Cabin Drive in Picayune, resulting in the arrest of two people.

Investigators seized what the department described as a large quantity of suspected marijuana, THC vape products, digital scales, packaging materials and U.S. currency believed to be tied to illegal drug distribution, the sheriff’s department said.

The department identified the two occupants as Catherine Zirkle, 24, and Dylan Revolta, 24, both of the Cabin Drive address in Picayune. Both were booked into the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility and charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, the department said.

Sheriff David Allison thanked deputies and investigators for their work combating illegal drug activity in Pearl River County and asked anyone with information about narcotics activity to contact the sheriff’s department at 601-403-2582. The department’s Narcotics Division works with patrol deputies to investigate suspected drug distribution in the county.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
