America250 Mississippi announced that its United in Song Celebration will air on MPB — Mississippi Public Broadcasting — tomorrow at 5 p.m.
The program offers an hourlong showcase of Mississippi talent and highlights the many ways Mississippians have contributed to the nation’s cultural and civic life, the announcement said. The broadcast is part of America250 Mississippi’s yearlong slate of events tied to the U.S. semiquincentennial.
America250 Mississippi coordinates statewide programs and events to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States and to spotlight local history, arts and community contributions. Mississippi Public Broadcasting is the state’s public media network and regularly airs cultural and educational programming for viewers and listeners across the state.
The broadcast gives viewers an opportunity to see regional performers and to hear stories of local influence on a national scale. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
