HATTIESBURG, Mississippi — Citizens National Bank on Hardy Street treated Hattiesburg police officers and other first responders to a barbecue lunch this week, the Hattiesburg Police Department said.
“A big thank you to the amazing team at Citizens National Bank on Hardy Street for treating our officers and other first responders to a delicious BBQ lunch this week!” the department said in a Facebook post, adding that community partnerships “mean so much” and expressing gratitude for the bank’s “kindness and hospitality.”
The Hattiesburg Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency for the city of Hattiesburg. Citizens National Bank operates locally and maintains multiple branches in the region, including the Hardy Street location mentioned in the post.
Community gestures such as volunteer meals and public acknowledgments can bolster morale among officers and other emergency personnel and help strengthen ties between public safety agencies and local businesses.
