Ralph Eubanks to discuss Mississippi Delta history and economy

Ralph Eubanks will discuss the history and economy of the Mississippi Delta at noon Wednesday, Sept. 9, as part of the History Is Lunch series.

Eubanks, author of “When It’s Darkness on the Delta: How America’s Richest Soil Became Its Poorest Land,” is a faculty fellow and writer in residence at the Center for the Study of Southern Culture at the University of Mississippi.

Drawing on his research and travels throughout the region, Eubanks will examine the forces that have shaped the Delta and highlight efforts to address economic inequality.

The free event will be held in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums.
