Oxford Police Department recognizes Executive Assistant Kayla Martin

The Oxford Police Department is recognizing Executive Assistant Kayla Martin for her professionalism, leadership and service to the department and community.

Martin played a significant role in overseeing the development and transition into the department’s new facility, coordinating details for what the department described as a major project for the agency and the city.

She is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette and the City of Oxford’s Project:LEAD, programs focused on developing community-oriented leaders.

Chief Jeff McCutchen described Martin as a natural leader who leads through service, consistency and a desire to support those around her. He said she helps support the department’s officers, staff, command team and community.

The department also credited Martin with supporting its team behind the scenes, strengthening its culture and helping the Oxford Police Department serve with wisdom and compassion.
