Mooreville School Resource Officers Deputy Thrasher and Deputy Anderson recently joined Coach Pate and Coach Massey’s classes for instruction on traffic laws and roadway safety.
The officers built on lessons students had already been studying and discussed the dangers and consequences of impaired driving. They also emphasized the importance of making responsible decisions behind the wheel.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
