JPS class of 2026 earns more than $65 million in scholarship offers

Students in JPS’s Class of 2026 have earned more than $65 million in scholarship offers, Dark Horse Press Now reported.

The figure, disclosed in an online report, underscores the scale of postsecondary financial assistance that the graduating cohort has received in offers from colleges, universities, private foundations and other scholarship sources.

High schools and districts commonly total scholarship offers each year to highlight student achievement and college-going prospects. Those totals often serve as a shorthand measure of how many students are pursuing higher education and the level of outside financial support available to them.

Readers should note that reported scholarship totals frequently combine a range of awards — merit-based, need-based, institutional and private scholarships — and may include multi-year renewals or multiple offers to the same student. As a result, such totals do not always equal the actual dollars a class will receive.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
