Northwest Adult Education-NWCC in Bruce has helped students overcome obstacles, pursue education and work toward their dreams for more than 20 years, according to Northwest Mississippi Community College.
The program’s educators continue to serve the community and strive for the excellence associated with Northwest, the college said. The announcement was shared in connection with AEFLWeek.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
