Greenville Higher Education Center marks 25 years of serving the Delta

The Mississippi Delta Community College Greenville Campus, also known as the Greenville Higher Education Center, is marking its 25th anniversary in Greenville, according to a statement from Mayor Errick D. Simmons.

The statement describes the center as an institution that has linked education with opportunity, college access with career pathways, and workforce development with economic development across Greenville, the Mississippi Delta and Mississippi. It says thousands of lives, families and futures have been strengthened through the center’s existence.

The anniversary statement honors those who supported greater access to education and opportunity in the Delta. It also outlines a continued focus on innovation, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, technology and economic mobility over the next 25 years.

The statement says the center’s mission remains focused on opening doors, creating pathways, changing lives and building a stronger Mississippi Delta through individual progress.
