The Washington County Economic Alliance announced an $83,000 Rural Business Development Grant for District 4 and said a new company would bring more than $40 million in ad valorem taxes to Washington County.
The alliance said the funds support roads and bridges, law enforcement, fire protection, justice systems, community services, health care, infrastructure and children’s education. It said it hopes public safety will be a core part of how the new tax revenue is used in government operations.
