Baldwyn High School junior shadows owner at Tupelo automation company

Baldwyn High School junior Gavin Gamble spent the day job-shadowing Eric Nanney, owner of Challenge Automation in Tupelo, Mississippi, according to the Baldwyn School District.

Challenge Innovation designs, builds and integrates custom and automated equipment. Its services include custom machinery and automation, robotic controls and integration, vision inspection, machining and fabrication, custom software and programmable logic controller programming, and functional testing.

Gamble said the experience gave him an opportunity to learn about working in the automation business, observe different machines and projects, and see how a business operates and how much work goes into completing jobs. He said the experience helped him develop a better idea of what he might want to do in the future.

Gamble thanked the entire Challenge Automation team for the experience.
