The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office is collecting donations for Zoe Johnson, a 20-year-old Lafayette High School graduate who remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after an automobile accident that killed her twin sister, Chloe Johnson.
The accident occurred on Aug. 14, 2026, according to the sheriff’s office. Chloe succumbed to her injuries, while Zoe is receiving care at Regional One Medical Center in Memphis.

The sisters were 2024 graduates of Lafayette High School. Chloe had dreamed of becoming a registered nurse and was pursuing an LPN at Northwest Community College. Zoe planned to enter Northwest’s Emergency Medical Technology Program in 2027.
Donations for Zoe can be made at the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Lafayette County Detention Center, both at 711 E. Jackson Ave.
