Baldwyn senior shadows sonography team at Tupelo OBGYN

Baldwyn High School senior Alyson McCarthy shadowed sonography at Tupelo OBGYN, according to the Baldwyn School District.

McCarthy said the experience gave her a better understanding of sonographers’ role in patient care and of what a future career in the field could look like. She said the staff explained their work and allowed her to learn about what happens behind the scenes at the OBGYN practice.

The experience strengthened McCarthy’s interest in pursuing a career in sonography, she said.
