Two arrested after revolver found during Booneville traffic investigation

Two Booneville residents were arrested Sept. 14, 2026, after a traffic-related investigation on East Church Street led officers to recover a .22-caliber revolver from inside a vehicle, according to the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department.

Investigator Aaron Stolz initiated a welfare check after observing a black Chevrolet S-10 stopped in the roadway. The occupants were identified as Zepplin Kennedy, 29, and Maranda Harris, 44, both of Booneville. Investigators determined that both had prior felony convictions and took them into custody.

Kennedy and Harris were each charged with possession of a weapon by a felon. Justice Court Judge Ray Hall set both bonds at $5,000 during their initial appearances.

Stolz is scheduled to present the case to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury. Investigators Torie Jumper and Kolby Knight assisted with the investigation.
