Greenville police arrest woman during burglary investigation

Greenville police arrested Tia Spencer on a charge of possession of methamphetamine after executing a search warrant during an investigation into multiple residential burglaries and stolen property, the department said.

Members of the Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division and Special Operations Division searched a residence at 149 Wallstreet Lane on Sept. 16, 2026. In a bedroom reportedly occupied by Spencer, officers found a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and two suspected methamphetamine pipes, according to the department.

After officers returned to the residence, they found that a vehicle previously on the property had been moved. Investigators later located the vehicle at another location and had it towed as part of the continuing investigation.

The investigation into the burglaries and recovered property remains active. Additional charges may be filed as investigators determine who owns the property and whether other people were involved, the department said.
