Heat Advisory covers areas along and west of Mississippi River through 7 p.m.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas along and west of the Mississippi River from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m., with heat index values expected between 105 and 109 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee.

Near-record to record warmth is expected Monday and Tuesday as an upper-level ridge builds across the Lower Mississippi Valley.
