Elevated heat danger will continue today, particularly in areas mainly along and west of I-55, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson, Mississippi.
Heat indices are expected to reach 105°F to 110°F each afternoon. The weather service advises limiting time outdoors and avoiding extended outdoor activities.
