Toppers earn first NAIA opening-round win, fall to top-seeded OCU
OKLAHOMA CITY — Blue Mountain Christian University’s softball program celebrated a milestone Tuesday in Oklahoma City, earning its first-ever NAIA National Opening Round victory before later falling to top-seeded Oklahoma City University in a tightly contested pitcher’s duel to end the 2026 season.
The Opening Round triumph marked a program high for the Toppers, who advanced to face the Stars in the next game of the NAIA postseason. The matchup with Oklahoma City University featured strong pitching on both sides and ultimately concluded the Toppers’ historic campaign.
