Presley powers Blue Mountain Christian to series win, repeats as SSAC Player of Week
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Cody Presley continued to drive the Blue Mountain Christian lineup and earned Southern States Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors again after a dominant week at the plate.
Presley helped the Toppers win three of four games last week, including an SSAC series victory over Faulkner, finishing with a .533 batting average, 14 total bases, two home runs and 10 RBIs.
Coach Taylor Clark said Presley’s influence went beyond the box score. “Cody is the kind of player every lineup needs. He’s consistent, he competes every at-bat, and he thrives in big moments. What stood out this week wasn’t just the numbers—it was how he elevated the guys around him. When he’s locked in like this, he changes the game for us,” Clark said.
The award underscores Presley’s role as a key offensive contributor as Blue Mountain Christian pushes further into SSAC play. The conference award recognizes weekly individual performance among member schools. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
