Presley earns second SSAC Player of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Cody Presley of Blue Mountain Christian University has been named the SSAC Baseball Player of the Week for the second time this season after a five-game stretch that helped the Toppers go 5-0. Presley hit .668 and slugged .750 while driving in eight runs during the unbeaten week.

Presley played a central role in a doubleheader sweep of Crowley’s Ridge and a three-game sweep of Point University in BMCU’s first SSAC series of the year, repeatedly delivering in key moments as the Toppers built momentum early in conference play.

Head coach Taylor Clark said Presley “has been locked in from day one this season.” “His preparation, confidence and ability to stay within himself at the plate set the tone for our lineup. He competes every at-bat and brings a calm presence that our team feeds off of,” Clark said.

The SSAC is the Southern States Athletic Conference. Presley’s consistency has been a major catalyst for the Toppers’ early success, and the honor underscores his importance to the lineup as BMCU continues conference play. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
