Mississippi Christian played Christian Brothers to a 2-2 draw Wednesday at Robert P. Longabaugh Field in Gulf South Conference play.
Brody Tanner gave Mississippi Christian a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute, scoring off assists from Karim Gegg and Luke Nolan. Lian Feridani extended the advantage in the 68th minute with a goal on his only shot of the match.

Christian Brothers cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 70th minute on Twan Roeling’s goal. Marco Manuali scored in the 90th minute to equalize, and neither team found a go-ahead goal in the closing moments.
Mississippi Christian finished with a 12-8 advantage in shots and earned six corner kicks in the second half. Gegg led the Choctaws with three shots, while Nolan had two shots and an assist. Elliot Duffy made three saves in 90 minutes in goal.
The draw moved Mississippi Christian to 2-3-2 overall and 1-1-1 in Gulf South Conference play. Christian Brothers moved to 3-4-2 overall and 1-1-2 in conference play.
Mississippi Christian is scheduled to travel to Lee University for a 3:30 p.m. conference matchup Saturday in Cleveland, Tennessee.
