The Olive Branch Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy visited the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center for a private tour led by Captain Clark, according to the department.
Participants learned about the facility’s daily operations, including intake procedures, transportation, housing and the demographics of the inmate population. The visit gave CPA Class #34 a look at the custodial process and the detention center’s role in public safety in DeSoto County.
The department thanked Captain Clark for welcoming the class and sharing time and expertise. The visit was identified as Week 2 of the academy, with a Tazer Night scheduled as the next activity.
