Delta State Athletics schedules soccer, golf and other events

Delta State Athletics has scheduled a week of competition that includes golf, soccer, swimming and diving, and cross country, along with a press conference at the Arant Family Room. The Chadwick Dickson Press Conference will be streamed on the Delta State YouTube Channel at @DSUStatesmen.

Men’s golf is scheduled to compete in the Dunning Invitational at Mossy Oak Golf Course in West Point, Mississippi. Live results are available for the event.

On Wednesday, women’s soccer will play the University of West Alabama at 5 p.m., followed by men’s soccer at 7:30 p.m. Both games are scheduled for the Jerry F. Smith Track & Field Complex in Livingston, Alabama, with live viewing and live statistics options.

Swim and dive is scheduled to compete in the Magnolia State Event at the Ronald G. Mayers Aquatics Center in Cleveland, Mississippi, with a live viewing option. On Saturday, women’s soccer will face the University of Montevallo at 1 p.m., and men’s soccer will play Montevallo at 3:30 p.m. Both soccer games are scheduled for Delta Field in Cleveland and include live viewing and live statistics options.

Cross country is scheduled to compete at Blue Mountain University in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, with the event time listed as to be determined. The schedule lists no events for Thursday or Sunday.

Recent Delta State headlines included a 21-6 Statesmen victory over Mississippi Valley in the Delta Classic, a 6-1 Lady Statesmen win over UAH and a 1-0 Statesmen loss to UAH. The listed players of the week were Nick Clark, who had 96 rushing yards and one touchdown, and Avery Hooker, who scored two goals in the win over UAH.
