Mississippi Valley State Athletics will open its Southwestern Athletic Conference schedule with two volleyball home matches and a football trip to Alabama State. The three-event weekend begins Friday, Sept. 25, and concludes Sunday, Sept. 27.
Volleyball hosts Texas Southern at 6 p.m. Friday inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena. The match marks the start of Mississippi Valley State’s SWAC slate.

On Saturday, Mississippi Valley State football travels to Montgomery for a conference matchup against Alabama State. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The weekend ends Sunday with volleyball hosting Prairie View A&M at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. The first serve is scheduled for noon.
