Tupelo mayor’s office reflects on memories of Sept. 11, 2001

The City of Tupelo Mayor’s Office said it reflected on where people were and what they were doing on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

The post said those involved shared memories of when they first heard the news and watched the tragedy unfold. It compared the clarity of those memories with how many people remember learning of Elvis Presley’s death, saying Sept. 11 was a day that forever changed the nation and remains deeply remembered.
