The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor commemorated the 2,977 people who died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, including 415 first responders who answered calls to duty in the face of danger.
The office said it would not forget those who were lost and would continue to honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
