Southaven Police Department honors 72 officers killed on Sept. 11, 2001

The Southaven Police Department honored the memory of the 72 law enforcement officers who died on Sept. 11, 2001, saying it embraces the commitment to protect and serve.

The department said its officers answer the call every day with a deep sense of responsibility. It also expressed solidarity with the families of those who died, saying it stands with them in sorrow, strength and hope and remembers with purpose.
