Vicksburg police investigate fatal shooting of 14-year-old
VICKSBURG, Mississippi — The Vicksburg Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left a 14-year-old boy dead early Thursday, according to a department release posted on Facebook.
Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. Thursday to the 400 block of Farmer Street on a report of a shooting and found the juvenile with a gunshot wound to the head, the release said. He was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment, and AirCare was requested because of the severity of his injuries. While being transported, the 14-year-old succumbed to his wounds.
