Booneville police investigate fatal hit-and-run
Booneville police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed a bicyclist early Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the department said. The crash occurred at about 2:20 a.m. on West Chambers Drive near Jim Drewery Road, and the driver fled the scene, according to a Facebook post from the Booneville Police Department.
The department said investigators are working to identify the vehicle and driver and are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with tips are asked to call the Booneville Police Department at 662-728-5611 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS.
