Vicksburg Police begin collecting donations for Shop with a Cop
Vicksburg Police Department said in a Facebook post that donations are beginning to come in for this year’s Shop with a Cop program and thanked an early donor for helping make the season brighter for local children.
The post named Diane Derivaux Kemp State Farm Agency as one of the first contributors and said the department is proud to partner annually with United Way of West Central Mississippi to make the program possible.
The department described Shop with a Cop as a program that provides local children with a holiday shopping experience. The post urged businesses, organizations and individuals to partner with the department or United Way to help make a child’s Christmas extra special and said every donation, no matter the size, helps.
The Facebook post also directed readers to the comments for a link to last year’s photo album showing the program’s impact. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
