Starkville Police Hold Coffee With a Cop at Connie’s Chicken

The Starkville Police Department said in a Facebook post that officers hosted a Coffee with a Cop event this morning at Connie’s Chicken, thanking Ms. Jill and the Connie’s Chicken crew for their hospitality and members of the public who stopped by to join them.

The department said connecting with the community is the purpose of the event. Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide program that brings police officers and residents together in informal settings to encourage conversation, answer questions and build relationships outside of emergency or enforcement contexts.

Starkville Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency that serves Starkville, Mississippi. Connie’s Chicken is a local restaurant that provided a venue for the gathering, allowing officers and community members to meet in a casual environment.

Community events like this aim to foster trust and improve communication between residents and law enforcement. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
