Police host Coffee with a Cop at Connie’s Chicken May 5
Local police will host a Coffee with a Cop event Tuesday, May 5, at Connie’s Chicken, organizers said in a Facebook post inviting the public to attend.
Coffee with a Cop is a community outreach program that brings police officers and residents together in an informal setting to talk, ask questions and build relationships. The program, used by many departments nationwide, aims to foster open dialogue outside of enforcement-related encounters.
Organizers said the event is open to the public and encouraged residents to stop by to meet officers and discuss community concerns. Events like this are intended to increase transparency and trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve by creating opportunities for face-to-face conversation.
The Facebook post did not include a specific start time or additional details. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
