Vicksburg police arrest juvenile after early-morning shooting on Frontage Road
Vicksburg Police Department said a 17-year-old was taken into custody after a shooting early Saturday morning on Frontage Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Police said officers responded about 4:30 a.m. May 23 to the Econo Lodge on a disturbance that stemmed from a dating dispute. During the preliminary investigation, officers learned the individuals left the motel in separate vehicles and that a 17-year-old male allegedly fired two shots while traveling on Frontage Road, striking the victim’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported, and the juvenile suspect was located and taken into custody by the Vicksburg Police Department, the department said in a Facebook post. The department said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
