TWO people were injured in a Memorial Day shooting Monday evening in Picayune, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies and investigators responded around 6:30 p.m. May 25 to a shooting near Lilac Drive and Clover Drive in Picayune, the department said. Investigators told reporters the two victims suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Witnesses and complainants told authorities that multiple people were at the scene when a physical altercation occurred, and that numerous shots were fired by more than one gunman, the sheriff’s department said. No arrests have been made and the investigation remains active.
