Deputies said they recovered suspected marijuana, cocaine and oxycodone, along with a .25-caliber handgun. Criminal history checks showed both men are convicted felons, the sheriffs department said.
The driver was identified as Charlie Randall, 66, of Cedar Hill, Texas, and the passenger as Joseph Brooks, 65, of Dallas. Both men were taken to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, authorities said.
