Two injured in Lauderdale County shooting

LAUDERDALE COUNTY — Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a shooting in the 7700 block of Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies responded at about 2 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting that two individuals had been shot, the department said. Deputies located both victims at the scene.

Metro Ambulance transported the victims to a local emergency room for treatment, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators responded and have begun an investigation into the shooting, which remains ongoing. No charges have been filed.
