State auditor welcomes 2026 intern class

The Office of the State Auditor said on its Facebook page that it is fortunate to have the 2026 class of interns working in the office this summer.

The agency said the group of young people has shown they are hard-working, dedicated and committed to serving the state. The post thanked the interns and said they will continue learning about and experiencing public service firsthand.

The Office of the State Auditor is responsible for auditing state and local government agencies, promoting fiscal accountability and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used appropriately. Intern programs at auditor offices typically provide students and recent graduates with hands-on experience in auditing, financial review and public administration.

The announcement underscores the role internship programs play in developing a pipeline of future public servants and strengthening government transparency. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
