Belicia Sotomeneses, an intern with the Starkville Police Department and a high school student, is competing this evening at the BTB Brawlin event at the Sportsplex. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post.
The Starkville Police Department said Sotomeneses has put in the work and shown discipline while balancing school, training and her internship. The department encouraged those attending or watching online to join in supporting her.
The Starkville Police Department is the municipal police force for Starkville, Mississippi, and frequently shares community news and profiles of participants in its programs. The Sportsplex is a local sports facility that hosts competitions and community events.
