Mississippi auditor seeks full-time financial, compliance auditor

The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor said in a Facebook post that it is hiring a full-time financial and compliance auditor.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and pass a background check, the post said. Resumes should be submitted to recruitment@osa.ms.gov, the agency added.

The Office of the State Auditor conducts audits of state agencies and local governments to help ensure public funds are managed properly and that programs comply with applicable laws and regulations. Financial and compliance auditors typically examine financial records, evaluate internal controls and assess whether entities follow statutes, grants and contract requirements.

The agency did not provide additional details about salary, application deadlines or specific job duties in the Facebook post. Interested applicants may contact the Office of the State Auditor for more information. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
