StarkVegas Juneteenth Committee closes road for Unity Music Festival

The StarkVegas Juneteenth Committee for Unity announced a road closure Saturday, June 20, 2026, ahead of its Unity Music Festival, the group said in a Facebook post. The post said the event area will close at 10 a.m., and the festival is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and is observed each year on June 19. Local committees and community groups commonly organize events such as concerts, parades and educational programs to mark the holiday.

The StarkVegas Juneteenth Committee for Unity organizes local programming to recognize the holiday and bring community members together, according to its Facebook page. The road closure is intended to secure the event area, the post said.

The closure may affect traffic and parking near the event site; drivers and residents should plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time. Organizers have posted additional event information on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StarkvegasJuneteenth.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
