Southaven Police thank sponsors, attendees after fourth annual Blues for the Blue festival

Southaven Police Department thanked sponsors and attendees after its fourth annual Blues for the Blue Crawfish and Blues Festival, saying proceeds will benefit the department’s Benevolence Fund.

In a post on its Facebook page, the department said, “We can’t say THANK YOU enough! We are so grateful for your support.” The post also thanked Silo Square MS, all of the sponsors and everyone who came out to the event.

The Southaven Police Department, which serves the city of Southaven in Mississippi, has held the Blues for the Blue festival to combine live music and local food as a community fundraiser. Local festivals of this kind often help strengthen ties between law enforcement and residents while raising money for department-run programs.
