Ocean Springs officers carry Flame of Hope in Special Olympics Torch Run

The Ocean Springs Police Department said on Facebook that its officers participated in the 2026 Special Olympics Torch Run, carrying the Flame of Hope to show support for athletes who the department praised for their determination and perseverance.

The department posted that officers were honored to take part and thanked everyone who helped make the event a success. The post emphasized community support for the athletes, a common goal of law enforcement participation in Torch Run events.
